Verity Resources Limited has launched an auger drilling program at its Pimenta REE-Ga-Ti Project in Brazil. Early surface results indicate widespread high-grade rare earth, gallium, and titanium mineralisation—a promising development that could unlock significant strategic value.
Verity Resources Limited announced the commencement of an auger drilling program at its 70%‐owned Pimenta REE-Ga-Ti Project in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The drill program, set to test a 20‐kilometer-long mineralised zone defined by strong airborne radiometric anomalies, comes after extensive surface work confirmed widespread high-grade rare earth element (REE), gallium, and titanium mineralisation. Previous surface sampling delivered standout results, including soil and saprolite assays returning values up to 25,817 ppm TREO (approximately 2.6% TREO) with high-value magnetic rare earth oxides averaging 25% of the TREO and rock samples featuring notable concentrations, such as 9.26% TiO2 and 8,619 ppm ZrO2.
The program will target two key anomaly zones within a confirmed >20km airborne thorium anomaly, using roughly 20 auger holes designed to assess mineralisation continuity both laterally and with depth. Geological reconnaissance indicates the REE mineralisation is hosted in medium-to-coarse-grained granite rich in allanite, a weathering-resistant and REE-bearing mineral. The geochemical signature observed is similar to that of the Halleck Creek REE deposit by a comparable company, underscoring the potential strategic significance of the project.
The news highlights strong fundamentals with detailed geophysical and geochemical data backing the project’s high-grade potential. While Verity Resources continues to concentrate on advancing its primary Monument Gold Project in Western Australia, the development of a second critical metals asset in Brazil could add further value to its portfolio, particularly given the excellent infrastructure and local resource potential.
From an investor sentiment perspective, the announcement carries both bullish and bearish elements. The bullish view focuses on the robust surface data, extensive radiometric anomalies, and the alignment with known high-grade REE systems, all of which suggest significant upside if the drill results confirm continuity and depth of the mineralisation. Conversely, the bearish perspective emphasizes the inherent risks in early-stage exploration, the uncertainties linked to forward-looking statements, and the need for further drilling results before the development potential can be fully realised.
