Taruga Minerals Limited has provided an update on its exploration activities at the Thowagee Project in Western Australia’s Gascoyne region. A recent independent review of the historical airborne VTEM (versatile time-domain electromagnetic) survey from 2017 confirmed the presence of a high amplitude bedrock conductor considered a high priority target. This conductor, situated approximately one kilometer south of the past polymetallic workings, coincides with a magnetic anomaly accompanied by surface indications of galena and malachite, as observed in rock chip samples. Additionally, elevated gold and arsenic levels have been recorded in soil samples, with one peak assay showing 92 parts per billion gold, reinforcing the prospectivity of the area. Recent field activities at Thowagee have seen an extension of soil and rock chip sampling along identified mineral trends and along a shear zone that appears to be linked with the VTEM anomaly. In parallel, a handheld diamond drilling program within the existing workings has recovered core samples that, through visual inspection, reveal the occurrence of base metal sulphides such as galena, sphalerite, and pyrite. Ground gravity, magnetic surveys, and a fixed loop electromagnetic survey (FLEM) are currently underway to complement the airborne survey data. The pending laboratory assays for drill core, rock chip, and soil samples are expected to be received within the next four to six weeks, and the results will help pinpoint high priority drill targets. Investors may view the update with cautiously optimistic sentiment. On the bullish side, the reaffirmation of a high priority VTEM anomaly, the alignment of magnetic and geochemical indicators, and the ongoing multi-method survey approach underscore a comprehensive strategy to identify drill targets with promising mineralization potential.
