Summit Minerals Limited’s latest Brazilian soil sampling has revealed a 4km geochemical anomaly and a promising new pegmatite outcrop with niobium and tantalum mineralisation. These encouraging results support plans for further drilling to unlock the high-value potential of this critical minerals asset.

Summit Minerals Limited has advanced its exploration efforts in northeast Brazil through an extensive soil sampling campaign across its Equador projects. The initial results highlight a remarkable 4‐kilometre geochemical anomaly characterized by multi-element signatures—including strontium, cesium, beryllium, tungsten, tantalum, niobium, lithium, rare earth elements plus yttrium—that underline the potential presence of hybrid pegmatites. In addition, field teams have identified a new pegmatite outcrop at Equador North with visible columbite–tantalite mineralization extending over a 700‐metre strike and, in some areas, up to 40 metres in width. These encouraging results are being used to refine the target area and guide the next phase of drilling activities. In conjunction with the soil sampling, approximately 400 kilograms of metallurgical test material have been collected for Phase Two testing, building on earlier successful outcomes. The sampling process, executed on a nominal grid aligned to the national UTM system, adhered to industry‐standard protocols to ensure representativity. Detailed geochemical assays and stringent quality controls performed by Intertek Laboratories have confirmed the presence of key pathfinder elements, supporting the proposed “Fractionated Pegmatite Corridor” model and setting the stage for subsequent drill targeting. The announcement also provides an extensive overview of the procedural standards and data management practices, including a full JORC Table 1 review. It details the methods of soil collection from the B-horizon, sample preparation, and analytical techniques—using a multi-acid digest and ICP-OES/MS analysis—to ensure reliable and reproducible results. These rigorous technical protocols underpin the scientific credibility of the exploration results, which follow a structured approach to duplicate sampling, calibration, and data verification. From an investment sentiment perspective, the news carries both optimistic and cautious signals.
