Rumble Resources Limited reports promising diamond drilling results at its Western Queen Project in Western Australia, with high-grade gold and tungsten intersections. The findings point to significant revenue potential from concurrent mining operations, ahead of a maiden tungsten resource estimate slated for the September quarter.
Rumble Resources Limited has reported encouraging drilling results from its Western Queen Project in Western Australia. The company’s recent diamond drilling program has returned high-grade gold intersections, extending the known mineralisation downward. Notable gold intercepts include 6.93 meters at 4.10 grams per tonne from 362 meters, a very high-grade 0.3-meter intercept at 32.38 grams per tonne from 300.3 meters, and additional intervals of 1 meter at 6.20 grams per tonne and 27.4 meters at 1.02 grams per tonne, with a sub-interval recording 2.7 meters at 2.96 grams per tonne. These intersections, identified within the Western Queen South area and a sub-parallel lode beneath the main lode, are framed by silicification and pyrite-pyrrhotite alteration, outlining a clear prospect along the southerly plunge where high-grade mineralisation remains open to extension.
In addition to gold, the drilling program has revealed promising tungsten (scheelite) mineralisation. Assays have recorded significant tungsten intersections, such as 24.6 meters at 0.62% WO3—including sub-intervals with up to 10.53% WO3—and several shorter high-grade tungsten zones. Petrographic studies indicate that the tungsten mineralisation represents an early prograde endoskarn event predating the orogenic gold mineralisation. The tungsten zones remain open in all directions, with the company set to receive final assays for historical diamond core sampling in June, and plans to publish its maiden tungsten Mineral Resource Estimate in the September quarter. Preliminary metallurgical tests further suggest that the tungsten-bearing material could add significant revenue if mined concurrently with the Western Queen South gold open pit resource.
The drilling at Western Queen South saw five diamond holes totalling over 2,000 meters, with four holes targeting the high-grade southerly plunge and one exploring a sub-parallel lode. Similarly, at the Princess area, three diamond holes across 927 meters targeted extensions of the high-grade lode, yielding gold intercepts such as 10.5 meters at 1.41 grams per tonne and 13 meters at 1.50 grams per tonne—with portions grading up to 2.90 grams per tonne. Lithological interpretations from these holes also highlight the potential to extend mineralisation both laterally and down-plunge, reinforcing the prospectivity of the area.
Looking at the sentiment from these results, the technical details and significant drill intersections support a bullish view for Rumble Resources Limited. The extension of high-grade gold mineralisation, combined with the added potential of a concurrent tungsten resource, suggests an enhanced revenue profile and a strong basis for future exploration success. However, a bearish perspective is not without merit: the resource estimates, particularly for tungsten, remain pending, and there is inherent risk in the early stages of metallurgical testing and further exploration. Overall, the positive drilling outcomes and clear plans for further work position the company favorably for near-term growth, offering intriguing prospects for both gold and tungsten revenue streams.
