Ora Banda Mining Limited has expanded its high-grade, multi-lode gold system at Little Gem. Recent promising drill results, including over a 1km strike, highlight strong exploration potential and underpin the company’s growth prospects in gold exploration for investors.
Ora Banda Mining Limited has reported encouraging exploration outcomes from its Little Gem prospect, further expanding the scope of its gold system. The recent 16‐hole Phase 2 diamond drilling programme has confirmed a multi-lode mineralised system with notably high gold grades and wide lode intersections. One standout result came from Hole LGDD25008 which intercepted 8.8 metres averaging 6.3 grams per tonne at a depth of 320 metres—400 metres north of a previous high-grade drill hole—suggesting that a high-grade shoot along the Diamond Lode may extend over more than 1,000 metres in strike and remain open at depth.
The technical details indicate that the drilling has successfully delineated four distinct lodes at the Little Gem prospect, named the Diamond, Ruby, Sapphire, and Tanzanite lodes. This robust Phase 2 performance builds on earlier intercepts, including a 22.7-metre intersection grading 5.0 grams per tonne, and has provided key insights into the structure of the deposit, which resembles nearby systems characterized by steeply dipping mineralisation and plunging fold geometries. Ora Banda has now commenced a Phase 3 drilling programme consisting of 38 holes that will comprehensively target these high-grade shoots from the surface down to 500 metres—with some testing planned as deep as 750 metres.
The company’s substantial commitment, as reflected in a FY26 exploration and resource development budget of AU$73 million, underscores its drive to accelerate resource growth and conversion. By strategically infilling drilled areas and extending the known mineralised zones, Ora Banda intends to rapidly expand both the scale and understanding of the Little Gem system, positioning it as a key asset in the company’s portfolio.
Bullish sentiment is supported by these strong early-stage technical indicators, the impressive lengths of high-grade intercepts, and the company’s clear roadmap to further expand and define its deposit. However, caution is warranted given the early stage of exploration; the multi-lode system is still unfolding and inherent development risks remain, such as the potential for dilution during resource expansion and uncertainties in turning early discoveries into a fully defined reserve. Investors may view the news as a positive signal of growth potential, while beginner traders should remain aware of the exploration risks that accompany early-stage projects.
