Nexus Minerals Limited’s latest RC drilling at Payns Prospect confirms a continuous, high-grade gold zone over a 900m x 750m footprint. The 5,172m program, comprising 46 holes, builds on earlier results and highlights strong potential to expand the Wallbrook Project’s near-surface gold resources.
Nexus Minerals Limited has reported encouraging drill results from its recent Reverse Circulation program at the Payns Prospect within the Wallbrook Gold Project in Western Australia. The company completed a 5,172‑metre, 46‑hole campaign that confirmed a significant gold mineralised footprint measuring approximately 900 metres by 750 metres. Notably, 45 of the 46 drill holes intercepted gold mineralisation, underlining strong spatial continuity and high-grade potential in the near-surface zones.
The new 4‑metre composite assay results include standout intercepts such as 8 metres at 7.99 grams per tonne gold (within 24 metres at 2.80 grams per tonne) from 40 metres, along with several other intervals ranging from 1.06 to 4.24 grams per tonne. These results build on previous aircore drilling outcomes that showed similarly robust grades. With mineralisation remaining open along strike and down plunge, the results add confidence to the expanding geological model identified over multiple drill holes, and one metre split samples are now underway to further refine the emerging higher-grade core.
The drill program has also provided valuable geological insights. The mineralisation is hosted by felsic to intermediate volcanic and volcaniclastic units, with structural controls indicated by quartz–goethite veining and associated sulphide minerals. The detailed logging and QAQC processes reinforce the reliability of these findings, while further multi-element analyses are planned to optimize future drill targeting.
Bullish sentiment is bolstered by the strong continuity of gold intercepts across almost all drill holes and the presence of higher grade cores that suggest the potential for a resource build-up at Payns. For beginner traders, these positive drill results could signal a strategic growth phase for Nexus Minerals Limited, highlighting the company’s systematic exploration approach and its placement within a highly prospective gold province.
Conversely, the bearish perspective recognizes that the project remains in the exploration stage, with no definitive resource yet delineated. The reliance on composite assay results, pending one metre split sample confirmation, means there is inherent risk in market valuations. Additionally, while the results are promising, early-stage exploration investments are inherently speculative, and future drilling will be required to fully assess the economic viability of the deposits.
