Kingsland Minerals Limited clarifies that references to a production target for its Leliyn Graphite Project were not intended as official targets. The company retracts that information due to compliance issues and advises investors not to base decisions on it.
Kingsland Minerals Limited has clarified its earlier communications regarding the Leliyn Graphite Project. The company stated that the processing plant size referenced during the completion of its Leliyn Scoping Study was not intended as a production target. Following discussions with the regulatory body, the firm retracted the implied production target associated with the 1Mtpa processing plant, noting that it did not comply with the relevant ASX Listing Rule. Investors have been cautioned against using this information to inform any investment decisions.
The notice also addressed an omission in the previous documentation. Details of the Competent Person responsible for the Leliyn Graphite Exploration Target were not included. The evaluation was compiled by Richard Maddocks, a Fellow of The Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, whose extensive experience in mineralisation and deposit types qualifies him under the Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves. Maddocks, a full-time employee of Kingsland Minerals Limited and a securities holder in the company, has consented to the inclusion of his findings in the disclosure.
The development presents a mixed outlook for market sentiments. On the bullish side, the retraction and clarification signify corporate accountability and rigorous adherence to compliance standards, potentially boosting investor confidence in the company’s transparency. Conversely, the removal of the production target may raise concerns among some traders about near-term operational prospects and the potential for future regulatory disclosures impacting projections.
