Castile Resources Limited Unveils Breakthrough IOCG Discovery at Pathfinder 38 Using Pioneering ANT Technology and Government-Backed Funding

Castile Resources Limited has made a breakthrough at Pathfinder 38. Their drill hole successfully intersected promising IOCG mineralisation with innovative Ambient Noise Tomography, supported by NT Government funding. This achievement opens the door for further exploration targeting high-value Rover 1 style deposits.

Castile Resources Limited announced a significant exploration milestone at its Pathfinder 38 project, reporting that exploration hole 25P38D001 has intersected zones of alteration linked to an Iron Ore, Copper and Gold (IOCG) mineral system. This breakthrough is notable as it marks the first time that an IOCG formation has been detected using Ambient Noise Tomography (ANT) technology as the primary targeting tool. The drilled hole revealed several key features. A zone of distal silica-hematite alteration between 253 and 277 meters suggests that mineralization may extend to the north. In addition, a short but distinct zone between 395.35 and 396.2 meters displayed strong magnetite replacement and pyrite within a structure similar to that found at the company’s flagship Rover 1 deposit. A further zone between 580.9 and 612.35 meters showed chlorite alteration with disseminated magnetite and copper levels reaching up to 30 times background concentrations. The company believes that the mineralized intersections may represent the edges of an IOCG system, although the primary source of the associated magnetic anomaly remains to be fully defined. Managing Director Mark Hepburn underscored the strategic importance of these results, noting that the successful application of ANT technology provides an invaluable benchmark for future exploration, particularly for high-value deposits similar to Rover 1. The project has also benefited from partial funding by the Northern Territory Government, reflecting strong institutional support and collaborative exploration efforts. Looking ahead, Castile Resources Limited plans additional investigations including a downhole magnetic survey in hole 25P38D001 and further ANT surveys designed to identify new drilling targets. The company’s aggressive “hub and spoke” exploration strategy is expected to uncover additional prospects within its Rover Mineral Field, building on the momentum of this discovery.
