WA1 Resources Ltd has reported promising high-grade niobium assay results from its West Arunta Project at Luni. The latest drilling supports early-development planning and a forthcoming updated resource estimate, highlighting potential value growth.

WA1 Resources Ltd has released new assay results from its West Arunta Project in Western Australia, further delineating an exceptionally high‐grade niobium mineralisation zone in the eastern part of the Luni deposit. The latest drilling campaign, which involved diamond, reverse circulation, and sonic drilling methods, reported several significant intercepts, including high-grade zones such as 19.3 m at 3.4% Nb₂O₅ and 7.0 m at 4.3% Nb₂O₅ from different holes. These intersected intervals provide increased definition of the deposit’s geometry, thickness, and grade and support early-development planning and site layout assessments. The company’s announcement highlighted that more assay results are expected in the coming month, which will feed into an updated Mineral Resource estimate later this quarter. The drilling, infill resource definition, hydrogeological, geotechnical, and sterilisation workstreams are all advancing as part of the pre-feasibility and early-development activities at the project. More than 5,000 m of drilling has been completed this year, and additional rigs are scheduled to be mobilised. With over 55,000 m of drilling completed to date, the ongoing exploration has not only further constrained the shallow, enriched oxide mineralisation but also set the stage for future assessment of the deeper primary mineralisation. Technical details and quality assurance protocols in the drilling and sampling program were emphasized. The reported data include specific intervals with percentage grades and related rare earth oxide figures, all verified through robust procedures and cross-checked by experienced geoscientists. The resource definition has benefitted from advanced drilling techniques and sampling methodologies, ensuring data accuracy and providing confidence in the early development plans. In terms of market sentiment, the news carries a bullish tone due to the strong assay results and clear progression towards a maiden Indicated Mineral Resource estimate. The company’s systematic approach to advancing pre-development activities, coupled with significant infill drilling and forthcoming updates, supports a positive outlook for potential early development scenarios. On the other hand, some caution is warranted given the uncertainties surrounding the deeper, unweathered primary mineralisation, which remains poorly constrained. Market participants may need to monitor further assay updates and metallurgical testwork to evaluate how these factors might influence the long-term economic viability of the project.
