The conceptual estimate suggests up to 234,000 tonnes of antimony, backed by strong historical data and field validation, with upcoming geophysical surveys set to further guide exploration efforts.

Trigg Minerals Limited announced a key milestone for its Antimony Canyon Project in Garfield County, Utah, by defining a conceptual Exploration Target based on a reassessment of historical data from the 1940s by the U.S. Bureau of Mines and U.S. Geological Survey. The target is estimated at approximately 12.8 to 15.6 million tonnes of material grading between 0.75% and 1.5% antimony, which could contain between 96,000 and 234,000 tonnes of antimony metal. This estimate is derived from integrated geological mapping, trench sampling, digital modelling, and recent field validation. The modelling rests on conservative assumptions—a density of 2.3 tonnes per cubic metre, an average mineralised thickness of 3 metres, and a mineralised footprint of roughly 4.3 km by 2.4 km—leaving room for potential upward revisions as further exploration data is gathered. The company’s technical review has confirmed lateral continuity of mineralisation across more than 30 historical mine workings, reinforcing the possibility of a district-scale deposit. Trigg Minerals has engaged specialist firms to undertake a Controlled-Source Audio-Frequency Magnetotellurics survey and detailed geological mapping. Field work is scheduled to start on 14 July 2025, with subsequent evaluation of drill targets and a planned drilling program to be advanced before year-end. In addition, the recent funds raised via a placement settled on 8 July 2025 will further support these planned activities. Market sentiment regarding the news appears mixed. On the bullish side, the identification of a sizable antimony target at a time when secure domestic sources of critical minerals are in demand could unlock significant long-term value.
