TANAMI GOLD NL reports encouraging assay results from its 17‐hole drilling campaign at the historic Jims Gold Mine. Multiple significant gold intercepts were recorded, extending known mineralisation and supporting further exploration and resource expansion plans.
Tanami Gold NL has released early results from its 2025 drilling campaign at the historic Jims Gold Mine on the Central Tanami Project. The company’s 17‐hole Reverse Circulation Pre-collar and Diamond Core Tail program, aimed at testing down-dip and northern extensions of known mineralisation, has returned several encouraging intercepts. Among the highlights are intercepts from one hole that measured 6.39 metres at 3.98 g/t gold and 12.17 metres at 6.94 g/t gold, along with other notable intervals including 8.85 metres at 3.64 g/t and 13.00 metres at 5.14 g/t. Final assay results for 15 diamond core tail holes remain pending, and once available, they will further define the potential at the deposit.
The drilling campaign forms the opening phase of fieldwork for 2025, which spans several targets across the Central Tanami Project. In addition to work at Jims, drilling at the Galifrey Gold Prospect was completed with a three-hole program that returned narrow, low-to-moderate grade intercepts using a 0.50 g/t gold cut-off. Located just 4 kilometres west-southwest of the Jims site, Galifrey is part of the extensive 2,108 km² tenement held by the Central Tanami Project Joint Venture—a 50/50 partnership between Tanami Gold NL and Northern Star Resources Limited.
Based on the drilling outcomes, bullish sentiment could be driven by the high-grade intercepts and the expansion potential indicated by this first phase of drilling. The encouraging assay results and the company’s strategic approach to testing extensions of known mineralisation signal a promising pathway to developing additional resources. However, a bearish view may arise from the fact that a significant number of diamond tail assay results are still pending, leaving some uncertainty over the overall continuity and quality of the mineralisation. Investors will be watching for further drilling data that could confirm the resource potential and reduce the technical risks associated with early-stage exploration.
