Historical rock chip sampling across these structures has identified a 3 km x 3 km mineralised zone featuring high levels of tin (up to 2.24%), antimony (up to 15.5%), silver (up to 7,751 g/t), along with notable levels of gold, bismuth, copper, zinc, and lead.
The announcement highlights the Tasmanian Government’s support in awarding a $55,000 co-funding grant under its Exploration Drilling Grant Initiative. This grant is set to assist in testing the Carbine Hill target, which has shown promising potential through coincident airborne electromagnetic anomalies and surface geochemical signatures. Preliminary rock chip results at Carbine Hill have yielded impressive figures, including up to 6.1% antimony, 4.6% copper, 9.5% lead, 2.9% zinc, and 3,370 g/t silver, reinforcing the region’s prospectivity for tin and critical minerals. The historical sampling data, with detailed breakdowns for several metals, underlines the high-grade nature of the mineralisation and has laid the groundwork for advanced reconnaissance and future drilling programs.
