Southern Hemisphere Mining Limited’s recent geophysical remodelling confirms promising copper porphyry drill targets at the Curiosity-Southern Porphyry project. The refined models and historic data alignment set the stage for initiating Phase I drilling in early Q4 2025.

Southern Hemisphere Mining Limited and FMR RESOURCES LIMITED have advanced exploration efforts at the Llahuin Project in Chile with a new geophysical remodelling update that sharpens the focus on a promising copper porphyry system at the Southern Porphyry target. Reprocessed aeromagnetic, magnetotelluric (MT), and induced polarisation (IP) surveys reveal a coherent set of anomalies consistent with a large mineralised system. The data indicate a distinct magnetic body on the southern side, an MT resistivity anomaly to its north, and strong IP chargeability signatures flanking the magnetic core. These features align with historic drilling and surface mapping that confirmed alteration patterns and secondary copper mineralisation, suggesting a telescoped system characterized by high-level epithermal veining above a deeper porphyry core. The enhanced interpretation, bolstered by 3D inversion modelling and rigorous quality controls, has led to the finalisation of a Phase I drill target that is scheduled for early Q4 2025. Preparations are underway, with drilling programme design incorporating the refined geophysical models and engagement of a drill contractor imminent. The project is part of a 6 km-long mineralised corridor that hosts multiple copper-gold-molybdenum porphyry centres, underlining the strategic potential of the target area. Investors may view the technical indicators and interpretation as a catalyst for future exploration success. Bullish sentiment is driven by the clear alignment between multiple geophysical datasets and historical alteration signatures, raising confidence in the upcoming drilling campaign. However, bearish perspectives hold that early-stage drilling outcomes remain uncertain and that inherent exploration risks, including commodity price fluctuations and the speculative nature of initial results, could delay material positive impacts.
