Polymetals Resources Ltd has kicked off commercial production at its Endeavor silver zinc mine in NSW. The mining process is progressing well, with zinc and silver-lead concentrate shipments commencing soon, signaling a promising restart and potential growth for both investors and the local community.
Polymetals Resources Ltd has announced that commercial production is now underway at its Endeavor silver zinc mine in Cobar, New South Wales. The company confirmed that both ore production and processing are proceeding smoothly, with regular hoisting of crushed ore from underground and continuous milling from surface stockpiles. The current focus is on producing high-grade silver-lead and zinc concentrates, with the first shipments of zinc concentrate expected in early July and silver-lead concentrate to follow shortly.
Executives highlighted that the mine’s revival over the past nine months has been achieved at modest cost. The mining team is actively optimizing grinding and flotation circuits to ensure consistent concentrate quality. Additionally, access to the upper-level high-grade silver ore is on track, with initial extraction anticipated in August. The continuous ramp-up of operations is aimed at meeting planned output targets during the second half of 2025, while the company has already received pre-payments in June, providing its first cashflow from the zinc concentrate stocks.
From a bullish standpoint, investors may be encouraged by the early cash inflows and the company’s effective management of the production ramp-up. The ongoing optimization of processing circuits and the timely commencement of shipments suggest a strong operational execution that could support long-term profitability and growth. Conversely, the bearish perspective points to potential risks inherent in the commissioning phase of the surface milling operation, where teething issues could arise. The uncertainty associated with scaling production and achieving consistent output levels may temporarily affect investor sentiment until operations stabilize.
