Peak Minerals Limited has announced impressive drilling results from its Minta Rutile Project in Cameroon, further expanding the mineralized area to approximately 540km². The latest phase of the reconnaissance exploration program, which employed cost-effective hand auger drilling techniques, tested an additional 30km stretch across the target area. Notably, every one of the 32 new drill holes intercepted heavy mineral (HM) mineralisation continuously from surface to end-of-hole. Detailed assay results include significant intercepts such as 6.0 meters at 1.5% HM, 5.5 meters at 1.6% HM, 4.4 meters at 1.8% HM, and even a discovery hole reporting 4 meters at 1.05% rutile (equating to 1.57% HM, with an assemblage of over 63% rutile). These figures underscore both the thickness and grade of the discovered mineralisation across an average drill depth of 4.0 meters.
The company’s exploration efforts cover an initial target of 3,500km², part of a larger project area exceeding 7,000km². With all reported drill holes returning positive samples and with 303 additional assays pending – including the oversize (>1mm) mineralisation that could further enhance HM values – the project appears to offer considerable upside.
