Orange Minerals NL has reported encouraging assay results from recent rock chip sampling at its Calarie Project near Forbes in Central New South Wales. The company’s latest measurements from the Nibblers Hill prospect showed a standout value of 3.79 grams per tonne of gold from shallow ferruginous quartz, while samples from the Mary’s Dream prospect returned encouraging figures of 1.58 and 3.12 grams per tonne. These results add weight to historical work at the Mary’s Dream and Nibblers Hill prospects and underline the project’s potential for significant orogenic gold mineralisation. During the exploration campaign, rock chip samples were collected along key outcrop exposures, with a total of 35 samples providing detailed data on gold grades and associated elements. This work builds on previous drilling programs that outlined an inferred resource of 0.87 million tonnes at 1.83 grams per tonne gold, containing over 50,000 ounces of gold. Complementing the assay results, a comprehensive review of historical geophysical surveys has defined nine target areas across the project, including promising targets along the Bald Hill to Pine Vale trend. The company’s methodical approach to compiling and interpreting data reinforces its understanding of the regional geology, dominated by Ordovician volcanics and sedimentary contacts that hosted past gold mineralisation. Looking ahead, Orange Minerals NL is set to deploy a VTOL drone magnetic survey over the Mary’s Dream and Nibblers Hill prospects, operating at a 30-meter flight height and with 40-meter line spacing. This planned survey is expected to enhance geological interpretations by more clearly defining volcanic-sedimentary contacts and structural trends that could host further gold occurrences. The strategic integration of geophysical targeting with traditional sampling methods reflects the company’s commitment to advancing its exploration objectives in a disciplined manner.
