Nimy Resources Limited has announced a significant update from its Mons Project in Western Australia, following the discovery of outcropping chlorite schist located approximately 480 metres east of its initial gallium discovery. This geologically important find, observed near drill pad 25PH024, is closely linked with high-grade gallium mineralisation as evidenced by early CSIRO characterisation. The discovery has prompted the company to expand its drilling campaign to incorporate this new target within its Phase III program, aiming to test and confirm the potential for additional near-surface mineralisation along the eastern extension of the known gallium trend.
The company is nearing the completion of its Phase II drilling program at the Block 3 East Prospect, with plans to initiate Phase III once the current results have been fully analysed. To date, only around 10% of the broader 3km by 1.5km prospect area has been examined, suggesting there is substantial exploration upside that could potentially lead to the development of a large-scale gallium deposit. This cautious yet strategic approach is supported by the recent $2.75 million capital raise from strategic investors, ensuring the company has adequate funds to continue its aggressive exploration activities.
While the new outcrop has not yet been assayed and the potential for high-grade gallium remains based on preliminary geological interpretation, the findings reinforce the company’s focus on delivering a JORC-compliant gallium resource at Block 3. Nimy Resources’ commitment to using a methodical and science-based exploration strategy is evident, as it seeks to unlock the full potential of its prospect area and contribute to the emerging narrative of gallium as a critical mineral in evolving technologies.
The bullish view centers on the promising extension of a high-grade mineralised zone that could significantly expand the resource base, combined with a vast, largely unexplored area.
