Lunnon Metals Limited has revealed highly encouraging gold assay results from its recent drill program at the Cooee prospect. Although initial drilling focused on nickel targets, the company unexpectedly intersected strong gold mineralisation. Key results include a 2.0‐metre interval grading 20.24 grams per tonne of gold and a 4.0‐metre section grading 11.14 grams per tonne. Historical drilling data further supports these findings, delineating a mineralised structure extending over 400 metres along a south-dipping quartz vein that dates back to the 1920s. The new high-grade gold intercepts at Cooee, which lies at the southern end of the newly named Cooee Belt adjacent to the Foster Gold Belt, mark a significant development. Lunnon Metals plans to add Cooee to its high-priority targets and advance further exploration through detailed mapping, rock sampling, and additional drilling in fiscal year 2026. This development builds on the earlier success at Lady Herial and strategically broadens the company’s gold portfolio in the prolific Kambalda/St Ives region. Market sentiment appears mixed.
