Investigator Resources Limited appoints seasoned mining executive Lachlan Wallace as its new Managing Director. A recent capital raise of $4.3 million will fuel exploration at the Paris Silver Project and beyond, setting the stage for renewed growth and future value creation.
Investigator Resources Limited announced on 1 July 2025 that it has appointed seasoned mining executive Lachlan Wallace as its new Managing Director. Wallace, with more than 20 years of experience in project development and operational excellence, notably led the commissioning of Hillgrove Resources’ Kanmantoo Copper Mine. His appointment follows a successful leadership transition and complements the recent capital raise, positioning the company to further develop its Paris Silver Project and other exploration assets.
The company secured $4.3 million in capital on 17 June, which will be used to accelerate exploration activities. Immediate plans include drilling programs in the Paris Silver corridor targeting the Perseus, Manto, and Black Hills prospects, as well as drilling at Uno Morgans and Curnamona tenements. Technical work will also focus on finalizing the Definitive Feasibility Study for the Paris Silver Project. Over the next few months, the exploration program encompasses a gravity geophysical survey along the southeastern extension at the Black Hill area. Additional initiatives involve re-analysis of historical drill pulps from the Sunday Iron prospect and planning for new drilling at the Paris Deposit within the Peterlumbo tenement. Alongside these, further work will reassess legacy data from the Uno-Morgans-Harris Bluff tenements to identify additional drill targets.
The leadership change comes on the heels of the retirement of outgoing Managing Director Andrew McIlwain, whose transformative guidance has helped strengthen the company’s portfolio. Interim efforts led by Non-Executive Director Andrew Shearer ensured a smooth transition. Director Lachlan Wallace has expressed excitement about the opportunities ahead, citing the Paris Silver Project as a standout asset with significant potential to contribute to Australia’s silver production, while also emphasizing the promising nature of the broader exploration portfolio.
From a sentiment perspective, the developments carry bullish undertones as the appointment of a well-regarded industry veteran and the recent successful capital raise signal a commitment to unlocking value and expanding exploration. The detailed technical programs and emphasis on both silver and base metal targets suggest a proactive approach in mitigating exploration risks. On the other hand, a bearish view might focus on the inherent uncertainties related to exploration outcomes and the challenge of delivering immediate operational returns. Nonetheless, the strategic milestones set for securing a mining permit and reaching a final investment decision for the Paris Silver Mine offer clear performance targets that could bolster investor confidence over time.
