Great Western Exploration Limited has initiated a new geophysics program at its Oval and Oval South copper-gold targets in Western Australia’s Yerrida Basin. The company is undertaking a close-spaced ground gravity survey designed to enhance resolution beyond their previous airborne gravity gradiometry data. This initiative aims to better delineate high-density zones that could indicate the presence of Volcanic Hosted Massive Sulphide (VHMS) mineralisation systems, which bear similarities to the nearby DeGrussa Copper-Gold Deposit. Recent drilling at the Oval target has already noted encouraging geochemical signatures from multiple geological horizons, including a notable sedimentary horizon intersected between 820 and 830 meters that has produced strong pathfinder indicators. The gravity survey will complement a comprehensive dataset accumulated from various exploration techniques—including diamond drilling, surface electromagnetic surveys, and down-hole EM work—to build an integrated geological model for future drill targeting. Results from the survey are expected by early August 2025, and the outcome may significantly refine drill targets on both the proven Oval and the yet-to-be-tested Oval South area. The company maintains a robust cash reserve of $3.7 million as of March 2025, underscoring its capacity to progress these exploration programmes without immediate financing concerns.
