Gorilla Gold Mines Ltd reports impressive drilling updates at its Lakeview Prospect, extending high-grade gold mineralisation over 500m. Noteworthy intercepts include 24m @ 10.3 g/t Au, with strong infill continuity. The acquisition of the Happy Jack Prospect further enhances the project's exploration upside for future growth.
Gorilla Gold Mines Ltd has reported encouraging drilling results from its Lakeview Prospect at the Comet Vale Project, located in one of the world’s premier mining jurisdictions. Recent reverse circulation drilling has extended high-grade gold mineralisation to more than 500 meters along strike. Notable intercepts include a 24-meter section grading 10.3 grams per tonne of gold at 200 meters depth and another 40-meter interval with an average grade of 4 grams per tonne near previous results. Additional infill drilling confirmed continuity of the mineralised system with intercepts of 22 meters at 6.8 grams per tonne and 12 meters at 2.2 grams per tonne, demonstrating both lateral extension and near-surface gold anomalism.
The technical data reinforces a robust discovery by highlighting extensive gold-bearing quartz veining, sulphide development, and associated alteration within ultramafic lithologies. The Company’s strategic approach is evident with comprehensive field work, as drilling now employs two RC rigs—along with plans to add a diamond drilling rig shortly—while ongoing work targets further expansion of the mineralised zone down dip and along strike. Enhancing its asset portfolio, Gorilla Gold Mines Ltd has also entered into a binding option agreement to acquire the Happy Jack Prospect, which lies within the same Lakeview shearzone and is notable for its historical production.
Additionally, the Comet Vale Project has historical significance with prior production exceeding 200,000 ounces of gold and an existing Mineral Resource Estimate that supports continued high-grade potential. Activities are also underway at other prospects within the portfolio, including the Sovereign and Mulwarrie Projects, with detailed mapping, soil sampling, metallurgical testing, and geophysical surveys set to enhance understanding of the broader mineral system.
Bullish sentiment is supported by the dramatic extension of the high-grade zone and the confirmed continuity of the mineralised structures, as well as by strategic acquisitions that complete a significant shearzone system. These drilling results, combined with the planned expansion activities across multiple prospects, suggest a strong potential for future gold resource growth and value creation. Conversely, cautious investors might point to the early stage of testing at Lakeview and the need for further infill drilling to determine true widths and ensure resource conversion, which introduces typical exploration risks inherent at this stage of development.
