Future Battery Minerals Ltd has begun RC gold drilling at its WA Miriam Project, targeting promising prospects at Forrest and Canyon. The company anticipates first results by early September, as it works to confirm historical gold findings and refine its resource estimate later in 2025.
Future Battery Minerals Ltd has launched its initial reverse circulation drilling programme at the Miriam Project in the Western Australian Goldfields, targeting gold mineralisation at two main prospects—Forrest and the newly defined Canyon. The 1,500-meter programme is designed to confirm the thickness and grade of previously identified gold lodes at Forrest, with historical intersections including examples such as 12 meters at 2.09 grams per tonne of gold and 5 meters at 7.35 grams per tonne. At the Canyon prospect, a 1.75-kilometer structural target marked by coincident soil anomalies with gold values up to 1.25 grams per tonne is set to be explored.
The current RC drilling initiative seeks not only to validate historical data but also to extend the mineralised zones by testing potential dip and plunge extensions along strike, which could further unlock the project's potential. Detailed geological logging during the drilling will help refine the understanding of the mineralisation and support the forthcoming Mineral Resource Estimate planned for early Q4 2025. The programme is scheduled for completion later in July 2025, and the first results are expected in early September 2025. Meanwhile, FBM’s technical team continues to assess other high-priority geochemical and structural targets to expand the exploration pipeline throughout 2025 and beyond.
