Duketon Mining Limited advances gold exploration at its Killarney and Barlee projects. After initial site visits and sampling, the company is gearing up for auger and RC drilling programs to further unlock exploration potential. Stay tuned for updates on these promising projects.
Duketon Mining Limited has advanced its exploration initiatives at two of its key gold projects in Western Australia. At the Killarney Gold Project, company representatives conducted a preliminary site visit, during which additional rock chip samples were collected from regional targets and submitted for analysis. Detailed mapping work has been completed, laying the groundwork for upcoming geochemical testing and target development. The company is poised to begin auger regolith sampling during the week beginning 26 May 2025 and has identified initial reverse circulation drilling targets. The program of works to enable RC drilling has been submitted and is now awaiting approval, with a drilling contractor already engaged to support the next phase of exploration.
Meanwhile, at the Barlee Gold Project, a reconnaissance field trip has been completed, featuring a soil orientation survey that overlaid historical gold in soil anomalies to inform future assaying and sampling techniques. Laboratory analysis of the preliminary soil samples is currently underway as planning for infill soil sampling progresses. In addition, discussions with the station owner have been initiated to secure access routes for the planned geochemical work, aircore drilling, and RC drilling.
The planned follow-up steps at Killarney include auger drilling and further RC drilling once initial results are in, while the Barlee project will see a continuation with infill soil sampling, targeted aircore drilling, and a subsequent RC drilling program. Both projects are being closely monitored as previous historical data informs these new initiatives, with future updates to be communicated as new findings emerge.
Analysts could view the news with bullish sentiment due to the systematic progression of exploration activities, strategic engagement with experienced personnel, and the clear roadmap for drilling and sampling that may ultimately lead to positive assay results. However, a note of caution remains for those with a more bearish outlook, as the exploration results remain contingent on laboratory analyses and regulatory approvals before any significant value can be derived.
