Desert Metals Limited’s recent geophysics survey in Côte d'Ivoire reveals promising gold targets. The study identified strong structural anomalies near previous high-grade results, setting the stage for follow-up drilling in Q4 2025 and supporting potential near-surface gold discoveries that could boost future investor value.
Desert Metals Limited has announced encouraging new developments from its Tengrela South Gold Project in northern Côte d’Ivoire. A recently completed ground geophysics survey employing an advanced gradient array induced polarization (GAIP) program has delineated multiple north–south trending targets at the Tiogo and Kakologo prospects. The GAIP survey, conducted over 103.275 line kilometers spanning an area of 11 km² along a 7 km strike length, highlighted robust chargeability and resistivity anomalies. These geophysical indicators suggest the presence of sulphide-bearing silicified vein systems within the underlying bedrock, which may host significant gold mineralisation.
Recent aircore drilling at the Tiogo prospect has already delivered promising results with two high-grade intersections. One hole returned 8 meters at 6.47 grams per tonne gold from 6 meters, while another reached 12 meters at 4.20 grams per tonne gold from 32 meters. Notably, these intercepts, located 900 meters apart along the margin of the newly defined 4 km GAIP anomaly, underscore the potential for extending the known high-grade gold mineralisation. With follow-up reverse circulation drilling planned for the fourth quarter of 2025 after the wet season, the company is positioning itself to further explore these compelling targets.
In parallel, Diamond drilling continues at the King Kong prospect on the Adzope Gold Project in southern Côte d’Ivoire. The ongoing campaign, which covers over 5,000 meters and has already completed seven diamond drill holes totaling 1,593 meters, targets a 1.4 km gold corridor and key geophysical anomalies identified through multiple survey techniques. Desert Metals expects initial assay results from these diamond drill samples using the Chrysos PhotonAssay™ by mid-August 2025, which could provide additional insight into the gold potential at this complimentary asset.
From a sentiment perspective, the news carries bullish signals for the company. The discovery of extensive GAIP anomalies, the strong recent aircore drilling intersections, and the proactive approach to follow-up drilling all point toward a potentially transformative phase in the project’s exploration. Conversely, skepticism remains as typical in early-stage exploration ventures, where results are subject to further verification and the inherent uncertainties of drilling outcomes. This balance reflects both the excitement over immediate prospects and the caution warranted by the exploratory nature of the projects.
