Critical Resources Limited confirms promising prospects at its Amoco Gold-Antimony Project in NSW. A detailed petrographic study highlights key quartz-sulphide structures, reinforcing a strong exploration model. The firm plans expanded soil sampling and is advancing drill permit applications to further delineate the promising mineralized zones.

Critical Resources Limited has announced encouraging technical validation from its petrographic analysis at the Amoco Gold-Antimony Project in the Armidale region of New South Wales. The study, led by an established mineral systems expert, confirms the presence of structurally controlled quartz–sulphide veining that mirrors nearby orogenic systems known for high-grade gold and antimony mineralisation. The project is strategically situated within the New England Fold Belt, lying just 19 km southeast of Larvotto Resources’ operations and 14 km east of Koonenberry Gold’s project, an advantageous proximity that reinforces the potential of the region. The detailed analysis of seven rock samples highlighted key geological features including hydrothermal brecciation, the presence of sulphide minerals such as pyrite and arsenopyrite, and evidence of subsequent supergene weathering through the formation of scorodite and goethite. Together with previous high-grade surface assays recording up to 17.9 g/t gold and 0.7% antimony, these findings underpin Critical Resources Limited’s exploration model and bolster confidence in identifying a significant orogenic system at depth. In the coming weeks, the company plans to launch a systematic soil-geochemistry survey along major structural corridors to further delineate mineralisation targets. Concurrently, work is underway with the New South Wales Resources Regulator and relevant landowners to secure the necessary permits for its maiden drill program. This next phase aims to refine the scale and orientation of the mineralisation and enhance drill targeting across the priority area. The news offers a positive outlook from a technical perspective, driving bullish sentiment among investors due to the strong geological indicators and the upcoming field programs that could unlock new value. However, the early exploration stage and pending permits temper the optimism, suggesting a cautious stance for those wary of the inherent risks in early-stage resource development.
