Cosmo Metals Ltd has revealed an encouraging development at its Bingara Project in New South Wales, where recent high-density LiDAR and aerial SAM surveys have delineated a more than 4‐km-long target corridor along the Mt Everest – Mona Mine trend. The area, part of a 20‐km VMS (volcanogenic massive sulphide) belt hosting historic mining operations, appears to extend known copper-bearing structures and uncover previously unrecognized prospects for concealed mineralization. Reconnaissance rock chip sampling has returned impressive assay results, with measurements reaching up to 24.2% copper from malachite-bearing supergene mineralization and up to 8.19% from partially oxidized sulphide material. Samples also registered notable levels of gold (up to 0.95 g/t), silver (up to 29.1 g/t), and cobalt (up to 508 ppm), reinforcing the interpretation that the zone resembles Cyprus-style VMS deposits known for high-grade, though modest tonnage, mineralization. The SAM survey’s 3D magnetic inversion model revealed a magnetically “quiet” corridor about 500 m wide, providing an additional technical indicator that hydrothermal alteration is present in volcanogenic host sediments. The company’s systematic approach—combining modern geospatial datasets, detailed LiDAR-derived 1 m resolution digital elevation models, and aerial magnetics—has expanded the known strike length of historic copper mines and highlighted extensive chert horizons that typically occur with VMS mineralization. This advanced survey work, coupled with soil mapping and targeted rock chip sampling, is set to refine drill targets in an underexplored and undrilled area that has long been overlooked. From a market sentiment perspective, bullish investors might be encouraged by the high-grade assay results and the application of robust modern exploration techniques.
