Aurum Resources Limited reports exceptional shallow, high-grade gold intercepts at its Boundiali Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire. With aggressive, cost-effective drilling underway and robust funding, the firm is well-positioned for significant resource expansion and value creation—a promising signal for gold investors.
Aurum Resources Limited has announced additional high‐grade, shallow gold intercepts from its Boundiali Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire. The new results – obtained from 23 diamond drill holes totaling 5,728.90 meters – include an impressive intercept from drill hole MBDD214B that recorded 4.20 meters at 80.64 grams per tonne gold, with a sub-interval of 1.43 meters reaching 234.35 grams per tonne and 2.90 meters at 116.66 grams per tonne from a depth of 107 meters. Other notable intercepts include 13 meters at 2.18 g/t and an interval of 3 meters at 4.32 g/t (with a 1-meter segment at 8.88 g/t), supporting the notion that mineralisation remains open along strike and at depth at BM Target 3.
The company’s drilling campaign is aggressive, with plans to complete 100,000 meters of diamond drilling at Boundiali in calendar year 2025. These new drilling results will be incorporated in two upcoming updates to the maiden 1.59 million ounce resource estimate. Alongside these efforts, a 30,000-meter drilling program is underway at the Napié Gold Project, targeted at expanding its current 0.87 million ounce resource. With a combined resource of over 2.5 million ounces, the program is geared towards resource expansion and a pre-feasibility study on the Boundiali project scheduled for completion by year-end.
Financially, Aurum Resources Limited is well-positioned with $46.9 million in cash and additional funding secured through a recent private placement. The company’s use of eight self-owned diamond rigs underpins a cost-effective exploration strategy that aims to rapidly extend and grow their gold resources, thereby enhancing long-term shareholder value.
Bullish sentiment is supported by the strong technical indicators displayed in the drilling intercepts, the scale of the 100,000-meter drilling program, and the impending resource updates and pre-feasibility study. These factors suggest potential for significant resource expansion and future operational development. Conversely, cautious investors might point to the inherent risks typical of exploration projects—such as conversion of drilling results to economically viable reserves, uncertainties in geological continuity, and broader market volatility among mining stocks—as reasons to approach the stock with measured consideration.
